Norwegian black/thrash metal act SUSPERIA have officially confirmed their split with Nuclear Blast Records after releasing two full-length albums through the label.
"Let's get this straight," vocalist Athera wrote in a recent e-mail. "Nuclear Blast has not dropped SUSPERIA. We have decided to leave the company and delete the contract due to lack of co-operation and fulfillment of our professional needs. And it's definitely not bad news. It was the best that could happen to us, that they agreed to let us go. We have much bigger plans ahead of us this coming year."

The band, who are said to be talking to STREET LEGAL mastermind Bjцrn Boge about producing their next studio effort (Boge had served as the "vocal coach/producer" during the recording sessions for this year's "Vindication"), are currently seeking a new label home prior to commencing the recording sessions for the upcoming CD, tentatively due in late 2003.

Susperia will be in the totally re-newed Abyss Studios from 19th November until 22th December to record ten songs for the second album. Album again will be produced by Peter Tagtgren and Lars Zsoke. The official release date for Susperia`s yet untitled new album is 6th May 2002. Susperia received praises and very good critics for the sound and experimentality on the first album, and have now taken the best of the first album and multiplied it with ten and have come up with something interesting.
