Often, unexpected discoveries happen in the most bizarre messages. What would you say to such news? DRAGONFORCE guitarist and former guitarist for HEAVENLY Frederic Leclercq is planned to create a death metal project back in 1998. Was going to create a death metal project, but this time played power metal of varying degrees of melody. It's funny, but after 18 years Frederic still made SINSAENUM, and the debut album of this band "Echoes Of The Tortured", which was released on the earMusic, definitely will be the opening of the year for the black death metal scene.
Under the project, Frederick managed to gather a solid group of musicians. Drums have played by former musician of SLIPKNOT Joey Jordison, singing Attila Csihar of MAYHEM and Sean Zatorski of DAATH. The album was mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren, so that the quality of the music is in good hands. Powerful, pounding death metal mixed with black metal in the old vein, but with a modern production. Just remember the most high-tech black death metal bands of today's scene, BEHEMOTH, BELPHEGOR, VADER. Music of SINSAENUM hits the target, all tracks tenacious rhythmic, conceptually they share some atmospheric intermedias, which adds to the album's epic and diversity, not mixing music into one endless song. However, even one monotonous song, performed and written as "Echoes of the Tortured", I would agree to listen to a few times, but debut album as it introduced by the musicians, in General, is located in the player for a long time. Beautiful guitar solos and heavy riffs with a drum who can hammer nails, powerful growling vocals and black metal rare retreat.
What a sin to conceal, usually these all-star projects represent either a collection of the defective material of the main groups of musicians, or musical attempts of a single "nugget" that is, receiving the inheritance, has managed to attract under the banners of eminent freelancers. SINSAENUM does not belong to one of these options. Apparently, Frederic Leclercq managed to save up death metal material, being in power metal bands. And this material has undoubtedly become a 'must have' for lovers of modern and energetic sound in the style.
Superalbum without any discounts. Don't expect from SINSAENUM 'true' sound that's most important. Other components of this work is just gorgeous. Almost perfect death metal debut with a great songwriting.
