The band SILENCE DEAD from Kirov was formed in August 2000 by Konstantin Kolevatov - vocals/guitars, Anton Zykin - bass and Pavel Malyshev - drums (all the guys had played in a black-metal band before). The musicians decided to change their musical style 'cause their musical tastes had changed. Their musical style is melodic death metal with swedish school influences, but some of their earlier songs have some classical death and thrash metal elements. SILENCE DEAD is the only band who play melodic death metal in their home town. After long rehearsals the band have started to play the gigs. Local metal press was quite pleased with the new band. Now, when the band got enough of musical material, they started the recording of their first demo "Nocturnal Silence" at their own home studio. The same time SILENCE DEAD takes part in most of the metal concerts in Kirov.
