Avantgarde Music have signed Sweden's so-called 'suicide black metallers' Shining, who've released albums on Full Moon Productions and Selbsmord Services. Like Shining's previous two releases, the band's new album will be recorded at Abyss Studios and partially in Norway to allow new drummer Hellhammer to record his portion of the album. Shining's music is reportedly 'soul-torture' music, or quite simply black metal with a suicide concept. In similar news, drummer Wedebrand and bassist Tusk have left the Shining camp. Wedebrand's replacement is the aforementioned Hellhammer while Kvarforth takes Tusk's four-string place. Shining's new line-up therefore is Inisis (guitars), Kvarforth (vocals/guitars/bass) and Hellhammer (drums). Look for Shining's third full-length album out mid-2002 on Avantgarde Music.
