The material for new MASTERPLAN album has just been mixed by Mikko Karmila and mastered by Mika Jussila in the Finnvox Studios. So studio work is over and on the 24th of January MASTERPLAN invites you to fly with them on “Aeronautics”.
In advance on 29/11/2004 the MASTERPLAN EP “Back For My Life” will be released through AFM, containing the song “Back For My Life” as a single and album version, the song “Crimson Rider” taken from the upcoming album and the non album tracks “Killing In Time” (2 different versions) and “Love Is A Rock”. Additionally, there will be a multimedia section.
The upcoming tour, which is being planned at the moment, and which is anticipated to start in March 2003, will show if MASTERPLAN is likely to get airsick or if they are still fascinated by flying, as it is presumed. MASTERPLAN will do a short promo tour in December to answer all the journalists’ questions about “Aeronautics”. More news to follow…
MASTERPLAN were honoured on January 25th in Cannes (France) with the new created “EUROPEAN BORDER BREAKERS AWARD“ (during the MIDEM). The reason for that was that the newcomer band has the best sales of a debut album outside their own country in 2003. Currently the band is working with RoyZ. (a. o. Halford, BruceDickinson) on new song material for the new album which will be available in autumn 2004 while an advance single will already come out in the summer. In late autumn it is planed that Masterplan will go on their first headliner tour.
Another band joined the band-lineup of 2003`s BANG YOUR HEAD!!!-festival: MASTERPLAN, the new "supergroup" of ex-HELLOWEEN-members Uli Kusch and Roland Grapow, who joined forces with vocalist Jorn Lande (a.o. A.R.K., JORN, MUNDANUS IMPERIUM, BEYOND TWILIGHT), Jan S. Eckert of IRON SAVIOR at bass and keyboarder Axel Mackenrott.
The bands confirmed to play at the BANG YOUR HEAD!!!-festival 2003 at Balingen, Germany, from the 27th to the 28th of June so far:
