San Francisco Bay Area's MANMADEGOD, featuring former FORBIDDEN guitarist Craig Locicero and drummer Steve Jacobs, have completed the recording process for their debut CD for American Recordings at Los Angeles' Ocean Studios and are currently mixing the effort at West Hollywood's Larrabee Studio East facility with Sean Beavan (i.e. SLAYER, MARILYN MANSON) and Rick Rubin (i.e. RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, SYSTEM OF A DOWN, SLAYER) at the helm. Produced by Brian Dobbs (i.e. ECHOBRAIN) and executive-produced by Rubin, the tentatively self-titled album will feature approximately 12 tracks out of the 20 that were tracked during the sessions. Among the titles that are set to appear on the album are the following:
01. Bottom Feeder 02. Pulp 03. Search For Greater Things 04. Safe Passage 05. Swallow The Sun 06. Vital 07. Swamp Water 08. Bad Creation 09. Meet My Maker 10. Million Dollar Gun 11. Lizard Bones 12. Poison Eye 13. The Ladder 14. Precious 15. The Path 16. Winter
MANMADEGOD recently signed a management deal with Sanctuary Management's Doug Goldstein (i.e. GUNS N' ROSES) and are expecting their debut album to surface in late June. Incidentally, MANMADEGOD had previously featured in its ranks current MACHINE HEAD axeman Ahrue Luster, who left the group in early 1998 to hook up with the latter band as a replacement for Logan Mader (now in MEDICATION). [Trivia fans may also want to note that the song “Nausea” on the current MACHINE HEAD CD Supercharger features the main riff from MANMADEGOD's “Crazy People”, which was originally recorded for the latter group's self-titled five-song demo/CD back in December 1997 while Luster was still a member of MANMADEGOD]
