DARKTHRONE have commenced the writing process for their forthcoming CD, tentatively titled Leper Unction, which they hope to record in September/October for an early 2003 release through Moonfog Records. Among the cuts set to appear on the upcoming CD are "Rust" and "Fucked Up And Ready To Die". According to a statement posted on the band's recently-launched official web site at www.darkthrone.no, "the new album seems to develop into another state of soul-binding art (at least for us it is), black & white album design, dark-edge primitive metal. This time around we'll make sure that we show everybody where we will stand in the future…As already everybody knows, DARKTHRONE stands for nothing 'new and fresh', prog-metal is a totally different musical world for us, we live and breathe for the real thing."
