Swedish thrashers CARNAL FORGE will enter Studio Underground on February 3 to begin recording their fifth full-length release, tentatively due next summer through Century Media Records. 12-13 songs will be recorded for the follow-up to this year's "The More You Suffer", and will feature a musical direction described by guitarist Jari Kuusisto as "[picking] up from where the last album stopped. The new songs are a little bit more aggressive, but all of you that liked our previous albums won't get disappointed."

The maniacal, abrasive Swedish thrash quintet are currently waiting patiently for another U.S. touring opportunity. Plans are to bring them back over by the end of the year to continue the support for the critically acclaimed album The More You Suffer, released this past April.

Guitarist Jari Kuusisto recently checked in with the following report:

“Because of the cancelled Metal Gods U.S. tour Carnal Forge have already started to write some new material. It is even stronger than The More You Suffer, and we promise that you fans won’t get disappointed. At this moment we are working on getting back to U.S as soon as possible. Nothing at this moment is for sure, but maybe we will come to back in the summer to rip everyone’s soul to pieces ones again.

CARNAL FORGE also would like to thank all their fans for the support after the cancelled tour. A big HAIL to everyone who deserves it.”

“The More You Suffer is a blistering grab-you-by-the-throat thrash metal record that spews evil, anger and hatred with calculated intensity.”

CARNAL FORGE were finally able to bring their abrasive thrash assault to the U.S.

The aggressive Swedish quintet CARNAL FORGE were finally able to bring their abrasive thrash assault to the U.S. as part of the Metal Gods tour featuring Halford, Testament, Immortal, Amon Amarth, Primal Fear and Pain Museum. This was possibly the most metal package that could be put together and after a week of sold-out shows the tour came to a complete halt. Unfortunately, due to varying issues the tour was abruptly cancelled in New York to every band’s dismay. CARNAL FORGE had responded with the following comments regarding the tour’s cancellation.

“Well, well, well... I guess nobody has missed it. The Metal Gods Tour is off! CARNAL FORGE would like to send their deepest regrets to all fans that had already bought tickets and expected to see the band on The Metal Gods tour. The reason for cancelling the tour was something that we couldn’t do anything about. We will do everything to come back to the U.S. as soon as possible, so hopefully you will be able to see us on the road soon again. CARNAL FORGE would also like to thank everybody that got the chance to see us live for their fantastic support. See you again soon!!!

Yours Sincerely,
Carnal Forge”

This October the band will embark on the Bonded By Metal Over Europe tour alongside Exodus, Nuclear Assault and BEHEMOTH among others. Look for the group to make their return to the U.S. very soon and their new thrash metal masterpiece, The More You Suffer, is now available.

“The long dependable CARNAL FORGE are probably the top band on the planet merging the worlds of Scandinavian and American death.”
-- Brave Words; May 2003

“Where most have failed in recent memory, CARNAL FORGE picks up the slack with their most varied effort to date.”
-- Ubermetal.com; May 2003
