Writing and preliminary recording of the sixth BAL-SAGOTH album is proceeding concurrently, with the final completion date scheduled for the spring. The running time of the sixth album will be somewhere around 60 to 70 minutes. A release through Nuclear Blast is currently scheduled for July 2005.

Work on the sixth Bal-Sagoth album is now underway. The successor to 2001's phenomenally successful "Atlantis Ascendant" will be far darker and more intense than anything that has come before, hearkening back in many ways to the barbaric early days of the band's work. The band plan to begin recording the sixth album in the late summer or early autumn of 2002. The cover art will once again be painted by the renowned Games Workshop fantasy artist Martin Hanford.
