Negurг Bunget's new album, "ZI" (English for 'Day' or 'Say') is the second part of the group's ambitious "Transilvanian Trilogy", released on the heels of 2015's celebrated album, "TAU" (English for 'Your' or 'Thy'), a record accurately hailed as "earthshaking" as it focused on unique native, natural landscapes and the mystique, legends, lore and meanings behind them.
In creating its most luminescent recording to date, Negurг Bunget has further immersed itself in the traditions and practices of local Transilvanian inhabitants, exploring their connection with nature, and the way this relationship has shaped spiritual horizons. Within this framework, "ZI" closely examines the core of the most important traditions and rituals connected with the well-being of this community. Life events such as funeral ceremonies, soil tillage, and human growth and evolution (i.e. youth to teen to man to warrior, through to outcast) are spotlighted, in what is undoubtedly some of the most heady, thinking-man's metal produced in recent memory. Musically, "ZI" builds upon the hallmarks of Negurг Bunget's impressive catalog; the juxtaposition and interweaving of grim black metal elements, ambient soundscapes and acoustic counterparts based on native Romanian folk music, giving life to panoramic atmospheres, intensity and power unequaled in the band's rich discography. An impressive musical statement and crucial bridge between root-bearing beginning and impending finale of the trilogy (scheduled to be released in early 2018), "ZI" is a mystical, tension-building recording that mirrors the size and scope of the deep forest fog for which the band is named.
The album was recorded at Negura MUSIC studio - www.facebook.com/neguramusic January-June 2016. Produced and mixed by Negurг Bunget and Mihai ‘Mtz' Neagoe. Mastering by Alin Luculescu. Cover design by Daniel Dorobanțu. Outfit design by Anita Ramona.

CORONER – To release “Autopsy“ 3x Blu-ray + LP / 3x DVD + CD set on September 23rd, 2016; New studio album in the works for 2017!
It's the sensational comeback of the year: Swiss metal pioneers Coroner — in the current line-up of Tommy Vetterli (guitar), Diego Rapacchietti (drums) and Ron Broder (bass/vocals) — are back in the studio! This three-man band made a name for itself in the music scene with its discerning brand of technical thrash metal. Now, 23 long years after the band's last album release (Grin, 1993), Coroner has announced plans to release a new studio album with Sony Music and Century Music Records.
In the 1990s, Coroner caused a stir in the music industry with its progressive and technically sophisticated music style. All over the world, Coroner was considered one of the most unconventional avant-garde metal bands, which is what attracted the attention of global greats like Metallica. Today, Coroner is a cult band and is highly respected not only by musicians such as Max Cavalera (Sepultura), Franz Treichler (The Young Gods) and Mille Petrozza (Kreator), but also by metal fans all over the world. After the release of their last studio album, Grin, in 1993, Coroner split up. Two years later, their best-of album, Coroner, was released. Sixteen years passed. Then, in 2011, Tommy Vetterli, Ron Broder, and the then drummer and founding member Marky Edelmann returned to the stage, playing a potpourri of numbers from their albums at concerts. Back then, the three musicians were almost certain that they would not be able to find the time for a new studio album. 'Almost' being the key word here.
For their seventh studio album, which is due for release in 2017, Coroner have signed a worldwide record deal with Sony Music Switzerland, which has enlisted the help of Century Media Records, a strong partner that will release Coroner records internationally. But for those fans who just can't wait for the new album, Coroner have a special treat in store: Autopsy will be released on September 23rd, 2016.
Autopsy is a 3 x Blu-ray + LP or a 3 x DVD + CD set that is jam packed with a documentary movie of the band’s history, live recordings, previously unseen interviews and a best-of compilation. The Vinyl + Blu-ray Box, which is limited to 3,000 copies, is a real collector's item and every copy of the box is signed by the band members themselves.
CORONER Live: 11.08.2016 Monthey (Switzerland) – Palp Festival 12.08.2016 Jaromer (Czech Republic) – Brutal Assault Open Air 08.09.2016 Hьttikon (Switzerland) – Meh Suff Festival More dates to be announced soon ...
INQUISITION are now unleashing the third crushing track taken from their forthcoming full-length 'Bloodshed Across The Empyrean Altar Beyond The Celestial Zenith'. The new album of the US black metal duo has been scheduled for release on the 26th of August.
The song "Vortex From The Celestial Flying Throne Of Storms" can be streamed in a clip below.
Frontman Dagon states about "Vortex From The Celestial Flying Throne Of Storms": "In the universe, where order within disorder mirrors the struggle of two astral gods, serpent versus eagle as they battle upon their thrones for the supremacy of quantum mechanic laws, a vortex left behind their war-thrones sets motion to death portals within our stellar black ocean generating a cosmic whirlpool of infinite movement and renewal at every level, consuming all matter and light."
INQUISITION recorded 'Bloodshed Across The Empyrean Altar Beyond The Celestial Zenith' at the legendary London Bridge Studios in Seattle (ALICE IN CHAINS, QUEENSRYCHE, WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM, and many more) with long time engineer Arthur Rizk (PRURIENT, POWER TRIP).

Swedish extreme symphonic metallers ZORNHEYM have inked a deal with the Dutch label Non Serviam Records. The debut single, entitled “The Opposed”, will be released on the 19th of August through all digital platforms.
The single and the forth-coming album have been recorded and mastered by Sverker Widgren, a renowned veteran of sound engineering on the Scandinavian extreme metal scene (October Tide, Demonical, IXXI, Diabolical) with cover art created by the wildly talented photographer and designer Jens Rydйn (Marduk, Thyrfing).
The single is part of Zornheym’s concept that revolves around the horrors of a mental institution and its inmates. Each song also has its own comic strip drawn by the amazing artist Anu Bring (Mдrvel, Evil-lяn, Satan’s fall).
Comment by guitarist Zorn:
“We are absolutely stoked to be signing with Non Serviam Records. It’s a hard working label that shares our vision and together we will release this epic juggernaut the way it deserves to be released. We can’t wait to share this beast of an album with you all!”
Comment by Non Serviam Records CEO Ricardo Gelok:
“By hearing the first tones of Zornheym, I knew that this is a band that I would have to sign. Zornheym is an asset for the label, and it’s a real pleasure to work with this great, and hard-working band!”
American melodic death metal band THE ABSENCE has announced the return to activity after a three year break. Below you can hear new track "Septic Testament". The track was the debut for two new guitarists Joey Concepcion (Armageddon) and Taylor Nordberg (Ribspreader, Infernaeon).
New single of REVOCATION "Arbiters Of the Apocalypse" can be streamed in the clip below. The track is taken from new full-length album of the Americans, "Great Is Our Sin", released last Friday on Metal Blade records, and this week in Russia on Fono.
French Avantgardish Metal masters OMRADE just release the second video off their debut album "Edari". It is for the track "Luxurious Agony" which sees Guillaume Bideau as special guest on voice and can be viewed below.
In light of the upcoming release of their new studio album “Incoming Death” on September 30th, 2016 via Century Media Records, Dutch Doom Death Metal division ASPHYX are now revealing the album’s cover artwork and its tracklisting:
ASPHYX – “Incoming Death”: 1. Candiru 2. Division Brandenburg 3. Wardroid 4. The Feeder 5. It Came From The Skies 6. The Grand Denial 7. Incoming Death 8. Forerunners Of The Apocalypse 9. Subterra Incognita 10. Wildland Fire 11. Death: The Only Immortal
ASPHYX vocalist Martin van Drunen checked in with the following comment about the album: “Incoming Death”, the third ASPHYX album after our resurrection in 2007, contains 11 furious songs in the traditional death/doom style which we are known for so well. Only more unmerciful than ever! Lyrical themes include gore humor, death, doom, war, sci-fi, the varying trustworthy ASPHYX subjects, each fusing perfectly with the metal of the tracks.
The album title already existed two or three years ago, being a phrase that doesn't really exist but refers to what entrenched soldiers cry out when under severe artillery fire. Thus “Incoming Death” implies another relentless bombardment of monstrous ASPHYX death/doom metal!”
The album’s artwork (which can be seen below!) was once more created by longtime design-ally Axel Hermann (Sodom, Grave, Morgoth, etc.), who commented on the artwork approach as follows: “Incoming Death” is my tenth collaboration with ASPHYX. Instead of visualizing the obvious, which would have been a reaper just collecting the soul of a dying man on his deathbed, I tried a maybe more sinister approach, simply by giving the concept a slightly different twist. A demon-infested living cemetery filled with decaying souls, forever being tortured with their own consciousness...or worse!”
And Martin van Drunen added the following: “Of course no ASPHYX release without the magnificent cover art of Axel Hermann, whose interpretation of the title fits superb with the atmosphere of the recordings. His demons are ours and soon they will be yours too!”
The band, round up by (ex-GORELUST) singer Jean Beaulieu, Guitarist Francis Bouillon and session drummer / bassist / current KATAKLYSM member Olivier Beaudoin, is slowly gearing up to release its first album "The Digital Holocaust" through PRC MUSIC (worldwide) in the Fall.
EYEXIST describes his music as Avant-garde Death Metal while keeping everything very, very heavy, in your face and brutal in its very own way.
